Sushi Garden, Glebe

Sushi Garden

How was it?
Food: 7/10
Service: 6/10
Ambience: 7/10
Value: $

In search of a quick bite one morning, we stumbled upon this Japanese eatery in Glebe. It was clean and the staff were friendly, however I did have to ask for spoons and tea (twice). They had all the typical items you would expect to find in a Japanese restaurant, including ramen and udon noodles, rice, sushi and sashimi. We decided to order some steamed dumplings and an udon set, which included a plate of sashimi and udon noodles.

Complementary edamame

Steamed Gyoza (dumplings) $8.00

Sashimi-Udon Set $17.00

The steamed dumplings were my favourite. They had a soft skin and delightful filling of minced pork and vegetables. The sashimi tasted very fresh however the udon noodles were a little bit too sweet, and I was surprised at the lack of vegetables.

Green Tea

The Pros:
- Good location
- Clean & open restaurant

The Cons:
- Service was hit/miss

Sushi Garden serves simple Japanese fare. If you're looking for Japanese food in Glebe, I'm sure you would be able to find something to satisfy you there.
